Since September 2012, the School Feeding Program has been responsible for the only daily meals of around 80 children aged between 3 and 6 years, who live in the Kitui Ndogo / Majengo slums in Nairobi. The program has majour benefits and, besides reducing the number of school drop-outs and promoting access to Basic education, it has also allowed to fight hunger and to eradicate mal nutrition related diseases. For the majority of the kids, these are the only meals they are given for the whole day...

The children receive two meals per day: breakfast (porridge and bread) and lunch (a diferent meal every day according to the established menu). The program is entirely managed and monitored by ADDHU’s local team, under the coordination of ADDHU’s project manager, Carolina Vasconcellos, who is the one who purchases the food from the suplliers and visits the children at least twice per week, in order to ensure that the available resources are properly used.

It is now possible to support ADDHU’s feeding program in the slum and to sponsor the meals of a needy child for only 10 Euros per month! ADDHU’s new program “Feed a Child” allows anyone interested in helping these kids to make a lasting and positive difference in their lives by making monthly donations and ensuring the continuation of ADDHU’s life-saving food aid program!
