In February 2013, the Wanalea Family grew again! Bathsheba Ebisiba is the most recent member of our loving family. She is 6 years old and comes from the rural area of Kisii in Western Kenya.

Bathsheba was rescued by ADDHU’s team from a situation of extreme poverty, hunger and total neglect. She was also in risk of being subjected to the cruel practice of Female Genital Mutilation, a cultural practice that is still deeply rooted in this community. Bathsheba is the sister of Onyego, who is 3 years old and was rescued by ADDHU in November 2012 and Fred, a 12 years old boy who has been under our care since 2008.

Bathsheba has adapted very well to her new life in the Centre and she was very happy to be reunited with her brothers. The little girl is now a member of the Wanalea Family, which will give her all the love and care she needs to have a healthy development and a happy life.

Welcome to the Wanalea Family Bathsheba!
